What is this page ?
The Gem Planner allows you to plan (and share) your gem progression: manage a sortable collection of gems, with clear details on when and how to find them, and grab them as you progress through the acts.
This tool is a work in progress as of 2024-08-17, so don't hesitate to shoot me an email for feedback.

Planner: FAQ and tips
- I bought a gem from a NPC, but the gem is level 1. How come?
- All gems can be bought from Lilly (and most from Siosa), but the gems will have no experience and will have to be leveled from level 1. This is why it is preferable to buy them from other NPCs located in Acts 1 to 4. If the gem can be bought by your profession, then it will be sold already leveled, up to a certain amount depending on your character's current level (max. 52-54).
- How can I add gems to my plan faster ?

In the page, you can click on and copy-paste a list of gems in the input it opens. This should work even from an entire guide, although depending on the website you might end up with extraneous gems that are not part of the guide.
You can also filter support gems via the Support filter button, to display/hide support gems. Another tip for support gems specifically: the end word "Support" is optional, so typing "Arrogance" will add Arrogance Support to your plan. - I can't find the gem in the vendor's inventory. Why?

If you cannot buy a gem from a vendor, and you checked the correct profession, chances are you need to complete one of the quests in the corresponding act. For example, a Shadow needs to complete Mercy Mission before he can buy Pierce Support from Nessa in Act 1.
If this doesn't help, then there might be a mistake in the data. Please report it by email and I will fix it!

I update the data myself using a complex script. The complete list can be downloaded here.

What do you mean by Icon?
In the bottom skill bar, an equipped active gem will be displayed with icons of each support gems linked to it.
In the following example, Flamethrower Trap is supported by three gems, and each have a particular icon. You can search for these support gems by entering their icon (V, C, W) in the Icon field.
This can be helpful when trying to identify which support gems a streamer is using on a particular skill.
User preferences
Preferences you save here will be kept throughout your visits.
When activated, any change to filters will trigger a new search. This includes name and icon text fields.
Turn this option off if the website is slow or choppy on your device.
When activated, any search you make will update the website URL with your last search's details.
This feature makes it easier to export/save your searches by automatically providing a link to it.
Turn this option off if the website is slow or choppy on your device.
When activated, filters used in your last search will be saved, and loaded on your next visit.
If the AutoSearch preference is also activated (see below), the filters of your last search will be applied.
When activated, the website will start a search as soon as the page is loaded.

You will still be able to see the results by clicking on "show anyway", this is to help prevent choppiness.
A search that would display the full list of gems will always be hidden in this way.
When activated, the column Price in the results table will no longer show currency icons.
It will instead show the short name of the currency needed to buy the gem.
When activated, the column Name in the results table will no longer show gem icons.
Gem icons will always be hidden if your search exceeds 1000 results.
Reloading the page is necessary for most of these changes to take effect.
